All right. So this is our final wrap-up episode for season one of the energized life. Season one. How are we feeling, Melissa? I feel good.
SPEAKER_00I'm proud of us. Yes. Podcasting world was like a whole new thing for me. Yeah. So this has been a huge learning experience, but I have loved it.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Same. I mean, honestly, I have loved doing it together. And honestly, yeah, that's been probably the highlight for me is having a co-host and somebody to like bounce things off of, bounce ideas off of, and to work with and to learn from. So that's been one of my one of my favorite parts of doing it this way and having a co-host. And then all the awesome guests we've had on have been so, so good. So we wanted to record this kind of final episode to again of just wrapping up season one, a little bit of reflecting, moving into the summer as we are recording this. We're in May and it's crazy for most moms, just like all the things going on with the kids and preparing our minds and our homes and everything for the summer is a big deal. But I think, yeah, I think it's important to like, at least for me, the way I think about it is like going into a new year in January when you're thinking about your goals and your intentions and like the habits and the rhythms that you want to bring into the new year. Honestly, that is how I at least try to approach the summer with that intentionality and where do I want to focus? Because otherwise, I think it's really easy for well, the summer goes so fast, first of all, right? It just it's like a blink of an eye. And for the most part, I think a lot of moms, we you know, we have these big ideas and we want to like make these memories and do all of these things. But without, I think that's where that intentionality comes from to really get clear on what is it, what do I want my summer to look like? What do we need our summer to look like? So just the rhythms along those lines. And for me, I want to hear kind of where your head is at. But for me, it's just simplifying. I feel like it's been, as we were talking, and we're, I mean, we talk every day, but basically it's just been a lot, right? Trying to build, we're building this podcast. Like we said, we're building the business, we're we're moms, we're wives, we're friends, we're all the all the different roles. And I think it's nice. That's also why I think just that seasonality of life is really, really helpful to to lean into the seasons. And that for me, the season that just happened was was a lot. It was very business focused and heavy and all of that, heavy in the way of like that was where I spent a lot of my time and energy. And so moving into the summer, I want to simplify. I want to simplify my home, the way I'm moving my body, the way I'm thinking about and nourishing myself and my family, and all of those things just simplify. What can I kind of edit? What can I declutter? What can I take out to make room for the things that I truly want to bring into the summer? Yep. That's where I'm at.
SPEAKER_00I I as usual, we're on the same page, which of course we've talked about this well before this podcast episode, but yeah, we're totally on the same page there. And for me, I don't know about you, Sarah, but for me, like summer is is kind of the start of my new year. Like it feels that way anyway. When summer happens, because we have these couple of months that are so sacred, in my opinion, with our children. They're home with us every day. We get to get into this couple of months, two and a half, three months of like just a different rhythm of life, which is so exciting. And I am just really gonna lean into that. I'm gonna wake up slow with my kids. I'm gonna plan, you know, my business and seeing clients around my family for those couple of months instead of the other way around, you know? And I think that's what we ought to do. That's how we don't burn out as moms and as practitioners and just as people, is by having those months to recharge, to step out in the sunshine instead of being in that rush to get to school or rush to get to work or whatever the rush is. Like this truly is my time to recharge.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. No, I love that so much. Slow, if you like the way we're moving through the summer. I like how you said, like the waking up slow, not always being like, I have to do this, I have to get this done on the list, all of the things. So I think that's such a good reminder. And I know it's really easy for us to kind of uh it can be really easy, at least for me, to get caught in the different things that I'm doing, especially for me, my kids are at school all day, right? Like that's the age they're at. So shifting into okay, their home. And so really making, like you said, also there's those, I guess they're memes or reels of like how many summers you have with your kids. Like you, uh yeah, just I mean, and my, you know, my oldest is going to high school next year. So that's a that's real. That's it's real all the time, but it's hitting different for sure. So I'm really looking forward to the slower and the simple. I love it.
SPEAKER_00And it's and and it's what we teach. I mean, it's what we teach our clients. So it's like, I think we we have to kind of practice what we preach. And this is our intentional time to slow down and regroup and let our brains breathe a little bit, get clarity on what it is that we want, and allow like ourselves to pivot and yeah, just have some some breathing room. And I think that's just a special thing that we get to have and allow ourselves to have. Absolutely.
SPEAKER_01And so as we are kind of wrapping up, like we said, we just wanted this to be short and sweet, letting everybody know in that vein, right? Because we are slowing down and we are simplifying and we are being present with our family. We are going to be pausing the podcast for the summer. So this will be our last episode, again, kind of wrapping up season one. And then we'll be back in the fall with more guests, more episodes. And we are taking this summer also to really get clear on continuing to clarify the vision and where we want this podcast to go. Because I know I feel like we we both feel like this is a very special opportunity. And honestly, to be in the earbuds and the, you know, the naps of the women listening, the people listening, like it's an honor. We don't take that lightly. I'm a huge podcast listener and I'm pretty picky about the podcast that I listen to. So if you're hearing this and you're listening, you're truly honored. We so appreciate you. And again, not taking it for granted. So we really want to do our best and continue to put out episodes and have real honest conversations that are that are helping you, that are making a difference, that can leave you more energized, you know, more clear, a little bit more energized than before you were listened. Exactly. So yeah, I mean, there's there's so much to it, and there's so much I could say, but we're definitely excited to come back fresh and clear in the fall.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, definitely. I think our goal from the get-go was, I mean, this whenever you're starting anything new, there's like this experimental kind of stage where you're bringing in lots of different people to kind of learn yourself. Yes, we're teaching, but we're also learning. And in that learning process, we are getting more clear, like you said, on which direction we want to really take this podcast so that the people that are listening every time they tune in, they know this is for me. This is for me. This is not like some rogue episode that's gonna be unrelatable to, you know, you and what you're walking.
SPEAKER_01So yeah, yeah, I love that. Absolutely. Also, if you haven't yet, if you are if you have been listening or if you're just listening tuning in for the first time, the cool thing is you can go back and listen to all the episodes that we do have from season one over the summer. And if you are enjoying, if you like what you're hearing, if you want to stay connected and hearing more, first you can subscribe so that when we do drop new episodes in the fall, you'll get notified of those. We would love it if you left a rating and review and even shared the podcast with a friend. Me being an avid podcast listener, I that's the thing. I share these, I share episodes with friends. I'm like, this is how I like communicate. I'm like, you gotta hear this one, you gotta hear that one. So I don't know. I think it's a very cool way to communicate and to learn to also get kind of get behind the scenes of like, how are people doing this, right? Like, how are people doing life and just to learn from different types of people and stay connected in this world that it's really easy to feel disconnected, right? So I guess we can just leave it at that. Thank you guys so much for listening and have an amazing summer. And we'll see you back here in the fall. Bye. Bye.
